The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. TROLL SPOTTED WANDERING THE ACADEMY. SMILING IN FACES, WHILE TAMPERING WITH CASES. WHY DO OUR OFFICERS HAVE TO BUY THEIR OWN BALLISTIC VESTS? ANOTHER SCOUNDREL IN THE MIX. NOTHING MUCH CHANGES.

Once upon a time, there was this vile little troll, who hated a a blog he called vile, for exposing the corruption his buddies were involved in, and how he profited from it. This weak, selfish, dishonorable, feeble old, self concerned, sneaky, foul, COWARD TROLL, was directly connected to cases that were connected with former police chief Ray Schultz, concerning incidents that directly destroyed the Albuquerque police department, and lead to the outrageous disparity at the kangaroo court, up at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy. These liars acted like they were cleaning up the place, when in actuality, they were putting up a smoke screen, to deceive the DOJ into looking elsewhere. Over the years, this person has been allowed free access to market his law enforcement supply store to Albuquerque Police Department recruits, who do not know any better, inside Albuquerque city facilities, like the police Academy. This individual has had LLC relationships with APD employees, as board members, yet he has been given sole source contract after contract with the city. This person makes sure to give his little campaign contributions to everyone he can, to insure his in. Trolls have no loyalty though. He smiled in faces, while he tampered with cases, to railroad police officers up at the NMLEAB. Many on the board have said they felt bullied to come to conclusions siding against officers in LEAB hearings, through pressure put on them by this person. We were told by our Eyes the order of the day at the NMLEAB was to find everyone Schultz filed an LEA90 on guilty and those he filed on when he was trying to keep the DOJ from coming to be revoked by any means. When the DOJ heat came in at its highest intensity, it was no surprise this assistant chairman, and citizen at large skadaddled, just like his filthy friend Schultz, and the dozens of others, who are no longer here.

On the week of the 20th of July, APD recruits were on a working lunch break, in a room where they were all studying for a test that was going to be on the 20th. During this break, recruits were eating their lunches, while studying, in preparation for their exam.

It has been brought to our attention that the above slimy little troll was seen slithering into an APD police academy classroom, and interrupting the studying recruits with one of his used car salesman, cheesy sales pitches. When does it end? Really?!? We remember the days, way back when this clown had the police department make his accident report protractors, the only protractor that recruits could use for their classes, and allowed him in to sell them like like a little pencil vendor girl, to sell them to all the recruits that were coerced into buying them by the department (Schultz). We also remember the no bid Aimpoint and Spiewak jacket contract. Now there is yet another!!!!

Our Eyes told us that the academy staff was not too pleased, when they caught this little troll interrupting their class. Apparently, they stood there, looking at this troll, until it was very uncomfortable, and told him he had to leave.

Our question is how was this allowed to happen? Ask yourself. Who the hell gets to just walk into an academy class, and what kind of pompous asshole thinks he can just interrupt studying cadets unannounced? How was a non sworn citizen, or non employee allowed to gain access into a police training facility, and just walk into a classroom full of recruits? This in not only an unfair, unethical business practice, that puts other vendors at an unfair disadvantage. It is a safety issue! These fucks never learn, and never quit, while they are ahead. What kind of korny shit is this?

While we are at it, we were told that the aforementioned troll was recently given the sole source contract with the city, to supply the new recruits with the the new vests they have to buy from him, with their own dime. Who the hell wants to work for a police department, where you have to buy your own vest from a troll?

(SOMEONE IPRA THIS CONTRACT)

We are hearing that there are cases developing that will bring certain trolls to the forefront of the past decade of shenanigans, and antics at the NMLEA. It can not happen soon enough.

Here is a word for the little punk troll. You are a coward troll. We know what you did for Schultz at the NMLEAB. We know how you directed hearing officers to come to the conclusions you wanted them to come to for Schultz, Levy, and any other administration in the state you could profit from, and we know you are friends with them. We know you profited, in exchange for your actions, through the gaining of access. We know the lives you have ruined. We know the people who you were told to burn. We know how it was all done, and we know why. You, and your band of coward racketeering criminals are directly responsible for the poor morale, the fratricide, and the decline of our city, for your own personal gain. You are a gutless coward. Stay the fuck out of places you do not belong. You are no better than anyone else. Actually you are below most. Stay under your rock.

You want business? Take your happy ass over to Texas, and take your fucking shine box.

We would advise our readers, police officers, and recruits to spend their hard earned money over at TLC uniforms, at 925 2nd ST NW, or Galls, over at 2520 San Mateo Blvd NE for all of their emergency equipment and uniform needs. That public service announcement was paid for by those dedicated to truth, duty, and honor.

Thanks for reading our blog, where we shine the light on trolls and cowards.

The Eye.

A TASTE OF PUBLIC SENTIMENT FROM A DIE HARD PROPONENT OF TRANSPARENCY.

Below is a portion of a communication we have received from a very concerned community member who has been calling out the city on it’s corruption for years. This man served his country, and has had the courage to stand his ground against people like Schultz, Perry, and many others. We see him at city council meetings calling out those he deems the problem here. He has been bullied but continues to fight for what he believes in. People are feeling let down, and we believe a chance for real change has been missed, in exchange for pretentious images and a commercialized cookie cutter form of government.

“MAYOR  KELLER

MY RECENT NM IPRA FINDINGS-CONFIRMING THE DOUBLE STANDARD OF JUSTICE HERE

After reviewing Friday the only three evidence.com recordings, some clearly edited in APD’s case involving Christian the relative/likely stepson of Councilor Ken Sanchez who caused a vehicular accident in mid-June and fled the scene after pulling a gun on the man he crashed into, I sent the following initial comments to your fine new Clerk Ms. Duhigg and to many others
“The first, 18-0063592, was the APD detective’s telephone conversation (at Tel 206-6881) with Councilor Ken Sanchez’s wife regarding her son Christian’s driving conduct o/a June 13.  Also of evidence.com 18-0057175, the video of the elderly threatened gentleman whose white SUV was hit by the black BMW that Christian was driving, who said the boy pointed a gun at him before fleeing the scene. The van driver gave the APD aide its license number-I believe he said it was NJB 405. Also of evidence.com video 18-20057961 of the later APD stop of Christian, that contrary to his mom’s telephone statement to the detective, the officer(s) never searched the car for the gun-just searched him. White paint from the crash with the van was on the black Sanchez BMW.

“After reviewing the three evidence.com recordings yesterday which I briefly commented upon (more to follow) it is clear that much of APD’s information supported Councilor Sanchez’s seemingly attempt to influence, possibly have APD cover up his young relative’s/possibly step-son Christian’s threats with a gun of an elderly owner of a white SUV right after he sideswiped it in the family’s black BMW that he was driving o/a June 13 of this year-a clear bodily harm criminal offense. While initially denying her son even had a gun, Christian’s mother who works in BERNCO’s HR would later even ask the detective on the phone (evidence.com recording 18-0063592) whether brandishing a weapon at a motorist was even be a criminal bodily harm (aggravated assault) offense?”

This case intentionally buried by APD Chief Geier was brought to my attention by an honest City insider that prompted my July 31 NM IPRA request.  Even though the media was copied on my e-mails to Ms. Duhigg, they cowardly refused to cover the story nor was the CPOA even interested.

The judicial system here beginning with our police and DAs-contrary to the recent Journal article by Judge Daniel Ramczyk has always been for sale.  All those in the deemed “privileged class” of our government, including our bad cops and others in power (or their family members) are never to held accountable/punished here.  This was even more proof that Chief Geier should never been given the job by you when he chose to bury this mid-June incident by Ken Sanchez’ step son Christian.

While many never heard of the Christian’s criminal offense until I brought it up, many saw the KRQE report last night where APD arrested Sean Saiz for pulling a gun during a parking dispute and APD then cited  him for aggravated assault.  https://www.krqe.com/news/crime/man-pulls-gun-during-fight-over-parking-spot/1397891911 It’s too bad Sean Sais wasn’t also related to Ken Sanchez.

Those privileged in power here likely wish that blog sites like the Eye on Albuquerque, ABQReport and other truth tellers along with their readers-many of them honest cops, would go away.  But fortunately they won’t. See attached the latest ABQReport article by Jim Larson, a former POB member.

Also see the reader comments to a recent Eye posting on former cop Leah Kelly Acata who the misguided Councilors had even honored at a meeting.  See the summary below of Leah’s 9/14/2010 unjustified shooting of non-threatening Chandler Barr downtown.  As expected, a federal jury exonerated this despised-by-many APD cop.

I continue to hope that some day you will stop being just another embarrassing NM politician seemingly committed only to maintaining the status-quo, the culture of corruption and lack of accountability that has made this city and State the disgrace of the nation.

We are also getting tired of seeing these insulting photo ops of you being dreamed up by your high-paid publicists pretending that you really care about us-doing something meaningful. The latest was with the UNM football team.  Yet your enablers in the mainstream media are more than happy to publicize these phony photo-ops of yours.

Until that time, you and others like you including AG Balderas can expect to be damned for your actions or inaction by the truth tellers who hope someday that their tough love will finally sink in.

It’s finally time to admit you made a serious mistake when picking Schultz’s prize pupil Mike Geier as permanent Chief and finally send him packing along with others like him including his NM IPRA stonewallers like Ms. Barraza-all of whom have dragged this city down into the gutter.

It appears that Steve Aguilar, your personal attorney and head of your Legal Department who was also chosen-like Geier in a rigged selection process has also shown himself to be no different than Berry’s embarrassing Jessica Hernandez and Kathryn Levy and should also be shown the door.

Finally, maybe a long talk with new US Attorney John Anderson and the DOJ folks in DC are also in order whose decision to also go AWOL in this reform challenge is also part of the problem.  Possibly they may consider hosting a meeting with us-the real concerned/involved, often threatened people of this city in order to hear the truth for a change.

Respectfully,

Silvio

P.S.
On a positive note, I was impressed with your new clerk Katy Duhigg during my Friday visit who I hope will be a catalyst for change-will bring about real transparency if you allow her to do so.”

Reading the above correspondence it is essentially clear that some people need to get their heads out of their asses and quit covering for cowards who expect political favors but want to hide in the shadows.

Citizens are getting fed up of being placated, and are fighting back with information. Information is key and knowledge is power against corruption and favoritism.

As we are dealing with remnants of the past still influencing, and continuing to ruin our city and state, the administration is considering allowing officers to wear beards. Yes folks, as the city is in meltdown over out of control crime and corruption, this administration is more worried about some commercialized image of Albuquerque One, and allowing minime clones with oldtimey hairdos beards and sleeve tattoos. What asshole suggests a change in policy for beards when all of this is going on?!? Talk about arranging deck chairs on the Titanic and priorities. No wonder why this place is crumbling.

Someone needs to get it through their tucking head that the problem here is not about something that a marketing program can help. It’s time to put your fucking pants on and get some calluses.

Fixing this city isn’t a fashion show or popularity contest. We would like to thank Mr. Dell’Angela for stepping up with tenacity.

P.S. Quit bitching about the man hurting your feelings like candy asses and start doing what you are supposed to. We are hip to the deck stacking going on and more is coming.

Where is Willoughby? The Chavez order, and why are criminal city attorneys still employed, after being caught lying? No Balls Judges, Sour Grapes, The Rael / Medina connection, why we are about to start in, and The Blind Leading the Blind.

Where are you boy?
It seems the bloviated mouthpiece for the Albuquerque Police Officers Association has been MIA since last week. Nobody has seen Mr. Willoughby. This is an issue, because how can you miss him?

Those down at the APOA are keeping their mouths shut. Word is, there are conflicting stories about his whereabouts. What our Eyes are wondering is about timesheet accountability, and the true reason for not being at work. Something stinks when everybody claims they do not know anything. Is Mr. Willoughby being paid for work when he is not there. Are his time sheets truthful? We will see, when Mister Willoughby surfaces for air.

It is going to be interesting to see how contract negotiations go.

Criminals in the Attorney’s Office still lying and obstructing

It seems those who were working under the previous filth bag assistant city attorney Kathryn Levy aka Virginia, who fled, along with the rest of the vermin, are carrying on with her tradition of vindictiveness, deception, conspiracy to defraud the courts, and are still blocking justice from taking it’s course. In short, they are still carrying the water of their predecessors, in order to protect them from accountability for their criminal actions. There are still people in place in the City Attorney’s office who were taught by criminals how to be mob attorney’s and they are continuing in their malfeasant and willfully criminal behavior. Below is an example of it. Below you can read where a judge calls out these dishonest creeps and cowards. Here is one of only a few judges who have the balls to call these worms out on their antics.

After reading the above documents, it is hard to believe that those responsible have not been terminated, but in a world where our own public defender’s office hires a convicted felon as a paralegal, there really is no surprise is there? Are there no attorney’s or public officials bound by ethics to take action on this?

The Albuquerque Urinal Newspaper recently did another article on officers who were allegedly harassing an individual who has spoken out about the Albuquerque Police Department, and it’s corruption problem. Below is former APD Sergeant Dan Klein’s take on the judges opinion, and frankly we concur.

The pussies elected and retained to make the hard decisions have been more than remiss in their duties. They are nutless cowards. They know exactly what they are doing. For a decade we have had police chiefs lying in press conferences, under oath, and on paper. Their underlings swore to it. Everyone else turned a blind eye, and their attorney’s covered it all up, or paid it away with your tax monies. What do you do when the last line of checks and balances turns a bling eye, or is too much of a political pussy to drop the hammer? You make sure everyone knows they are an unethical pussy who is afraid to do their job. That is what you do.

For years the biggest cowards in city government, the media, and the courts have blamed in directions that were soft targets for that blame; those who do not pose a threat to their political careers or pocket books. That, friends is cowardly... the one characteristic all of these people share. Well, they made a mistake. (Those they thought would pose no threat to their political careers or pocket books) You see, you just can not fuck with people, and think all of them are going to take it.

Self Absorbed Sour Grapes
Some of our Eyes are disappointed in the things transpiring. We are too. Some commenters who voice their displeasure are disappointed also, but they want to blame this blog. That is funny as hell. They think a blog should own something for supporting a mayoral candidate who has been a mayor for only a few months, whom they are disappointed in. Well, if that is not the typical Albuquerque behavior that got us here, and the epitome of the word PUNK. To these comments, we will consider the source, and get a good laugh or two. Our mission to deny the Berry Perry Schultz machine was accomplished. We will deal with the new problems as they come, but for the clowns who want to claim this blog needs to regain any sort of validity, you can piss off. We have exposed all of this. If you think you can do better, by all means start a blog. If we have gotten one deserved filth bag fired or helped out one case where someone was illegally steamrolled it is probably safe to say it is more than any of these crying loudmouths have done for anyone, besides themselves in a lifetime. Maybe these know it all clowns could have exposed the Santolina Clan behind getting their people elected. Maybe they would be happier if we let Colon get elected. You know, the one who works for the law firm representing disgraced and exiled former police chief Ray Schultz and who is now running for New Mexico State Auditor where he and his boy Hector Balderas can continue to help out their Boy Luis Robles who is Ray Schultz’s Attorney. So much for any of the past corruption being punished if
that happens.

Why Medina?
Everyone has been asking why Harold Medina was brought back. The answer is Rael. Chief Operating Officer for the CAO Lawrence Rael and Medina are boys. That is why he was brought back. Everyone who threw support to Mayor Keller brought self serving baggage, requests, and ultimatums for their support to the table. Every one of them said I will support you if you give me this. WE DID NOT, AND WE CAN PROVE IT.

The APOA got their little man Art Sanchez promoted, and we will be watching what Willoughby and his buddy, who is a proven liar in court... Justin “the biggest gun I ever saw” Montgomery will get out of this deal. Brian Colon got his favors, and people taken care of, even after all of the shit was thrown on Keller by his supporters, and many others are being put in places due to disgraceful political favors.

Many jackasses made fools out of themselves by attempting to predict things about this blog and why the motivation to have a say in the election. The grasp of Altruism eludes them, and that is why our city is a pit of violence, and out of control crime. It is because everyone is absorbed in what they can get for themselves, regardless of who, or what is getting trashed in that pursuit. There is no sacrifice.

The police brass, the city council, the mayors, those who keep their fucking mouths closed, knowing the wrong they are witnessing is destroying lives, those who run away, and those who enable this behavior willfully are all to blame. The word is out nationwide, and it is an embarrassment that what has transpired over the last decade has done so without one ounce of accountability or prosecution. Last month, the case where a mother’s child was killed by a police officer going 80 miles per hour to a call made the news again. Not because of the tragedy but, because the officer is suing the woman.
This made world news. There is almost one homicide a day, and we have little miss play NCIS clowns in that unit. There are barricaded suspects, shootings, robberies, and auto thefts happening by the dozens. The international district is not the war zone. The entire city is. Years of all of this, and the Attorney General is crickets on the Schultz Tasergate kickback investigation. Who is to blame? Everyone knows exactly who is to blame.

While we are at it, Lieutenant Jennifer Garcia was promoted to Commander of Internal Affairs, then promptly removed after only a record three months, and transferred to Traffic because she fucked up shit so badly. That is called fucking up!

No Means to Repair
So, as we look to the future, we are realizing that there is no means to repair the damage done and the insightful quote from former District Attorney Kari Brandenburg about the fix for this mess taking decades has never been clearer or more true.

The current command staff does not have the ability, experience, or competence to fix the city. Compliance with reform, and fixing the city are two very different things. Compliance may come to fruition, but it takes real cops to be able to operate within parameters set forth to eradicate the crime problem with aggressive skilled policing. This is not going to happen, because there are not many in it for the right reasons. Sad to say, but it is true. It is not about the money, as we here at the Eye have always maintained. Below is a video of that issue being discussed. It seems that the city attorney’s office is still carrying water for Perry and Berry’s horse shit excuse that their corruption was not, and is not the current reason for the mass hemorrhage of officers leaving for other places, or retiring, and those who are stuck with APD shutting down out of fear. Yes they all shut down out of fear of what was unjustly done to a dozen officers by Schultz and Eden, to keep the federal heat off of their own asses for corruption, racketeering, and other RICO related offenses. The fact is that there is no proactive policing by officers going on at all. Officers answer their radio calls, then find a place to park until the next call comes in. Over the last two weeks emails were sent out to officers citywide looking for volunteers to work, or stay over in area commands that did not have enough officers to work the shift. Folks, this is deadly, and our administration picked a few of the wrong people to listen to. They will have to deal with that mistake, but citizens will have to suffer for it. We are not going to have it!
CPOA REALIZES NOBODY KNOWS WHY NOBODY WANTS TO BE A POLICE OFFICER HERE

We suggest you read the below ABQ Report article about the mystery of why officers do not want to work here.

ABQ REPORT CLUELESS STORY LINK

Hint... may we remind you of the fiascos of officers being scapegoated, having their wives banged by coworkers, lied on by the last two police chiefs, and having to work for a cadre of absolute scum bag supervisors, who betray them at every turn, while enriching, and taking care of themselves handsomely.

And after all of this Eric Garcia has the tiny nuts to open his mouth about about how it is easier to do the right thing now, under this administration. You have to be kidding us! This clown essentially admitted that his whole career he followed along with the horse shit going on here, knew all about the taping of the federal monitor, and every other dirty little secret, but now gets to play the good guy. Sorry. Fuck that pal. Unless you walk into the US Attorney’s office to provide evidence on everything that was done by Schultz Banks Levy and all of their servants along with their predecessors you are still under our microscope pal.

Since this administration has no clue about why the place is in meltdown, maybe another candid survey is in order or a confidence vote. They seemed to have a clue before the election. What happened to that clue?

Maybe a few of the stale old political washed up talking heads that ran their mouths before the election, but are now silent can chime in. Probably not, but one thing is for sure, the same old clowns will be given chance after chance as they shit all over the place while those doing their jobs are trashed. There is a clue! Maybe that is why nobody gives a shit. This place is lead by a bunch of blind, self serving, nest feathering, malfeasants, with no moral compass, who would never risk any exposure whatsoever to do the right thing.

And we still give out gift certificates from a Police Supply Store who is owned by a coward creep who conspired with Ray Schultz to violate the civil rights, and due process of dozens of officers that Schultz wanted retaliated against through trumped up charges, and falsified government documents, in order to feel good about himself, and distract the federal Department of Justice, as co-chair of the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Board.... Another reason it is still treacherous to be a police officer in the state of New Mexico. In the spirit of all of that, please give your business to Galls or TLC for all of your law enforcement equipment needs.

Let’s show the parasites the door.

Thanks for reading the Eye, where bygones are not bygones until we say they are, memories are long and accurate, and there is no water under the bridge. Where we believe the corrupt and criminal should be punished, not the good deed.

If you can’t get justice, take it!

Till the next time...

RACKETEERING

Racketeering, often associated with organized crime, is the act of offering of a dishonest service (a "racket") to solve a problem that wouldn't otherwise exist without the enterprise offering the service. Racketeering as defined by the RICO act includes a list of 35 crimes.

Here is a spread sheet detailing the suspicious, and obvious expenditures that grew exponentially as the DOJ was ramping up on the Albuquerque Police Department. Notice it is the usual suspects that have backed Ray Schultz's play since day one, and profited from it. Blood money we say. The DoJ stated that there were many unjustifiable shootings, but we know there were bigger things these criminals were worried about the DoJ finding out about.

We here at the Eye hate to beat a dead donkey, but there is one person responsible for everything that has gone wrong here, and that person (for lack of a better word) is Raymond D. Schultz now of the Memorial Villages Texas Police Department. This needs to be addressed until there is action taken into holding this coward accountable for using the place as his bank, whorehouse, criminal enterprise, and personal tax paid shield, complete with paid legal representation, that crossed the line in ways that defy explanation, but prove the New Mexico courts can be easily defrauded. There are no coincidences here folks, because creeps have no honor, and they expect to be paid for their services, even from their friends. The funny thing is that these creeps do not know what a friend is, because they are so low, that friendship does not exist below the dog shit these scum bags live under. It is strictly symbiotic, as you can see here:

After looking at this spread sheet, and correlating the timelines with occurrences that occurred at the same times, and you still believe there was not a concerted effort to derail any scrutiny into the public corruption that was going on by any means and resource necessary, you have lost your mind. We all know Nate Korn profited from Ray, and Ray benefitted from Korn's bullying of the NMLEA board to decide in Ray's cases against those he decided to target for personal reasons, and to fool the DoJ into thinking they did not need to be here. As they started getting caught in these actions, their machine lost steam, and many of these punks fled or got the hand of karma slapped on them. The NMLEA is now under fire from many directions, and a few cases in particular will be opening the organization up for liability in malicious and intentional civil rights violations, and conspiracy to do so through evidence of misconduct that we here at the Eye are in possession of.

Schultz feathered his nest, and insulated himself through a network of other like minded cowards who were willing to do things to people for him, like a dog does for a biscuit. Like we said, no honor. As Schultz was working his no bid Taser deal, Walz at the Albuquerque (URINAL) Journal was hard at work baselessly attacking Schultz's designated targets, libeling them, backing his agenda, and initiatives, and praising him as being the man for the job to clean up APD. You all remember this load of bullshit? All of it was done to keep the feds from finding out about the great little gig they had going on here. While you all were working hard at your jobs, Schultz was sitting back enjoying the perks of attaining the rank of Police Chief, the weight that the title alone would shield him from of the scrutiny he deserved, and the free shit he filled his pockets with at your expense. When the heat came, he devised an deflection plan, then an exit plan, and then fled like a bitch. All of it involved these co-conspirators. He ran with a $120,000 a year PERA pension in his Dodge Charger he coincidentally obtained after APD went to Chargers as their new patrol car, and now makes over $100,000 in his new gig with his buddy JD, who Korn protected, unlike he ever did at any other NMLEA board hearing. Remember this idiot was named in lawsuits that cost Albuquerque 30 to 40 million dollars, and now he sits there with his pink face, and turkey neck smirking next to his fat buddy.

Kent Walz's brother Jerry was a contract attorney with the city that defended many cases under Schultz. There are no coincidences here, only evidence. We will not stop until someone goes to prison.

These losers thrive on the phenomenon that egregious acts fade away with time, and nobody does anything. They just bide their time, till it fades away, and we concern ourselves with more corruption like Mayor Berry's multi million dollar reverse kickback scheme, the Albuquerque Rapid Transit Project, where Berry's buddies will pay him back later for the bloviated cost of construction payouts funneled their way, by hooking the cowardly liar up with political contributions for his bid to be elected governor. Remember that this idiot has done nothing, and failed as a mayor, so he expects us all to pay for this tax paid legacy of his to claim as his gem. Kind of slick isn't it? Another selfish investment at the cost of the citizens and businesses for his own political gain.

We here at the Eye urge everyone to fight these bloated parasitic ticks at every turn, because nothing they do is for you. It is all about them, but you are paying the price in every way possible for it.

City legal is having bad day after bad day as the truth bleeds out. We here at the Eye say it is about time.

EMBARGO: KAUFMAN'S WEST LLC

We here at the Eye have no tolerance for individuals who abuse political connections, bully others, and provide cover for the corrupt through their backroom dealings, and cowardly, off the record, telephone "call a friend" favor call ins. You have read many accounts of the usual suspects who have stuck it to the citizens, and employees of Albuquerque, and this state, and they can all be linked to one another by one degree. The sniping from the shadows is going to end.
Raymond D. Schultz is having a good time fooling the folks in the community of Memorial Villages Texas into thinking he is a great guy, after he destroyed this place with the help of his coward friends. As we have seen with many ranking members here, the rules change when you are under criminal or grand jury investigation, because they do not get put on leave or terminated. As a matter of fact, people like Ray Schultz's friend JD Sanders can actually get hired as a police chief in another state, while there is action pending regarding his certification after resigning over an internal affairs investigation into misconduct, concerning him with the Hobbs NM PD. This is no coincidence, because Ray's BFF Nate Korn was the vice chair of the board at the time, and Director Jack Jones was present, and advocating for JD Sanders who was not present. We would like to ask our LE readers just how would your absence at your own LE board hearing be handled? Would the director have advocated for you as be did for Sanders? Would they just get to say that there were lots of allegations, but nothing happened? No, not even close, unless you are connected to these cowards. Many media outlets have ignored the little details above, but we here will not. A chief resigns from his position, an LEA90 is filed, and nobody asks questions when he rendezvous with another chief, who fled his last place of employment TOO. Does the saying "you scratch mine, I'll scratch yours" sound familiar? IPRA NMLEAB CASE #12-089. Who should you ask? Oopsie! That's right, Jones is gone, and so is Korn. Seems all of these people are skedaddling, now that things are coming to light. But they aren't worried about the Corvino case, are they?

SCHULTZ... PROBABLY IMPARTING NO BID, PAY TO PLAY CONTRACT WISDOM, ABOUT HOW TO GET VESTS, AND MAKE MONEY ON THE BACK END, RIGHT NEXT TO THE REFRIDGERATOR HE GETS HIS DONUTS AND MARSHMALLOWS FROM.

You can read it all here, starting on page 109. This should enrage anyone who has had to deal with the disparity in case handling up there in Santa Fe, especially those who have had action taken against their certifications, after signing agreements with municipalities agreeing to no action in lieu of resignation.

http://nmlea.dps.state.nm.us/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/06-17-13_NMLEA_BoardMeeting_Minutes_Revised.pdf

We here at the Eye ask why is Ray Schultz not on administrative leave? Look at him!

Where is the investigation into the Taser no bid, kickback contract at?

If those that fled get to smile and profit, then those still here should not get the same benefit.

There has been a lot of talk about departments directing their staff to Kaufman's West LLC for their equipment. Why? Why direct people to a place where their prices are high? Why direct anyone to a business owned by an individual who condones corruption, by openly praising former employee Raymond D. Schultz as some kind of "E.F. Hutton," when all he is is a coward who used people, destroyed the place, then moved on when the heat came down on him; a snowflake. Enough of acting like something did not happen. Ray Schultz is a liar, who has perjured himself in numerous cases, while under oath, and he was allowed to do this by people in oversight positions, who dare to take the high ground, and act as if they were cleaning the place up, when THEY were, and are the problem. They did this. As the rats jump ship, the rat feeders should be sent packing with them. WE HERE AT THE EYE ARE CALLING FOR AN EMBARGO OF ALL BUSINESS WITH KAUFMAN'S WEST LLC. There are better places to do business with better prices. Try the below listed vendors. They are nice people that get shut out by a corrupt administration. Do not give money to a business that has profited from the likes of Ray Schultz, and is owned by a person who has obviously pushed cases in the favor of violating employee rights, politically bullied decisions in the desired direction of his buddy's choosing, and disallowed the simple right to free speech at public hearings. You do not get to destroy places and lives and walk away. Hillary Schultz should not get a free pass. Indict him.

WE HERE AT THE EYE SAY DON'T RUN RATS! JUST TURN YOURSELVES IN TO THE FEDS. THEY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU. THEY ARE AS SICK OF THIS MESS AS WE ARE.

We suggest anyone looking for quality emergency services equipment give the below people a try. It is about time the favoritism ends.

Police Officers get “Corn Holed” again

Oddly enough, Gov. Martinez re-appointed Nate Korn (AKA: Nathan Kornfield) of Kaufman's West Uniforms to the LEA Board (Law Enforcement Administration Board).  In an article from the Santa-Fe New Mexican (READ IT HERE), Phil Sisneros, the spokesmen for the Attorney General stated, there doesn't appear to be a conflict of interest.

It appears Phil has been smoking something strange or he was given bad information by the AG's Office.  In a story here on the Eye On Albuquerque (READ SIDEBAR), it was proven what Nate Korn was actually doing and why.  This all appears to be part if a "pay-to-play" scenario.

Something "Korny" Going On

"Nothing can destroy a government more quickly than its failure to observe its own laws, or worse, its disregard of the charter of its own existence."
--U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clark (1961)

The city of Albuquerque has many ordinances that mirror state laws but are refined to the particular, and allowable, form of municipal government that we all know as Albuquerque. To be sure the city is not a true sovereign entity; it owes its creation to state statute. Its capacity to exist and govern itself is contingent upon being faithful to its own laws and not deceiving the very citizens it hold jurisdiction over. As Justice Clark remarked, a government that fails to hold itself accountable and simply disregards its own laws voids its very existence.

At the forefront of Albuquerque's code of ordinances is the "Conflict of Interest" ordinance §3-3-1. The main point being that "An employee shall disqualify himself or herself from participating in any official act directly affecting a business in which he or she has a financial interest." Since Albuquerque officials are entrusted with authority and money from the citizens they serve there is no greater breach of duty than to act in a manner where a city official puts their interest before the citizens...and from this ordinance there are endless other that effectuate a code of conduct that, if followed is beyond reproach:
§ 3-3-6 CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.
§ 3-3-5 CONFLICT OF INTEREST; EMPLOYEES.

§ 3-3-7 CONFLICTS OF INTEREST; FORMER EMPLOYEES.

§ 5-5-22 ETHICAL CONDUCT

§ 5-5-27 PURCHASES BY QUOTATION

§ 5-5-28 COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDS

§ 12-3-4 EMBEZZLEMENT

§ 3-3-4 GIFTS AND DONATIONS PROHIBITED

Recently, our Eyes alerted us to a corporation known as “Friends of SWAT.” What caught our eye concerning this is not only does Friends of SWAT involve many current APD officers, but retired officers as well: APD Sgt. Jason Peck, Officer Armando Limon, Retired Commander Dan Cafferkey, Officer Ron Tosta, and citizen at large Nate Korn (or is that Nathan Kornfield?). Our Eyes wanted to know what a dominant city vendor would be doing as co-director within a corporation staffed with current and former city employees. We think it is hardly appropriate for a vendor known for selling police gear and equipment to the very employer of his co-directors!

Given Mr. Korn’s grandstanding about ethics and integrity while he sits on the state’s LEA board, we found this beyond disturbing. Through his business Kaufman’s West, Mr. Korn contracts with the city hundreds of thousands of dollars in police and police related equipment to APD each year. Given that each vendor is supposed to disclose any conflicts they may have when responding to the city’s RFP’s we wonder if competing vendors knew of Mr. Korn’s legal business relationship with these APD employees. What influence did they have in crafting RFP’s in a favorable way so that Mr. Korn edged out competition? What inducements has Mr. Korn given these or other APD employees? Can Mr. Korn and these officers honestly say their activity is consistent with these city ordinances and the many parallel state statutes?

In reviewing the details of the above city ordinances, it seems Mr. Korn and all of the directors are in clear violation of these laws. Sadly, it gets worse. According to the state Public Regulation Commission, Friends of SWAT has been operating out of the Valley Area Command since 2007 as its corporation and mailing address is 5408 2nd Street NW (Link: HERE). How is this possible that a private business has been operating out of a secure government police facility? Who has been in charge of the Valley Area Command to allow this to go on? How much on duty time have these individuals spent in furtherance of their corporate interests while at work? What material benefit have they derived from their relationship with an equipment vendor known widely for his “donations?”

While we thank our Eyes for forwarding this information, not only are we shocked and outraged, but we are dismayed. Given Mr. Korn’s personal relationship with APD’s Chief Schultz we think it is very unlikely Chief Schultz has no knowledge about this. On behalf of all the concerned citizens of Albuquerque and all of the hard working rank and file officers who operate by the very rules they enforce, we demand that the State Attorney General and/or the State Auditor commence an immediate investigation and prosecution of all and any persons found in violation of the law.

END SIDEBAR

Between drumming up his own business by being closely connected to the law enforcement community across the state and being part of a "unique group" who raises money for the sole purpose of buying police equipment; folks, the fix is in! Guess what Nathan Kornfield sells?  That is right; police equipment! We won't even talk about the donations to Martinez' campaign by Korn. Ironically, the Governor who is suppose to also be an attorney has failed to do her homework and by proxy she has failed everyone in this state.

Based on the appearance of impropriety, let alone the actual impropriety, Korn should has never been appointed or re-appointed to the LEA Board.   The police officers will pay for it on both ends. Remember Korn and Schultz are buddies...

Why is the media so afraid to call things like it is?

Schultz uses Cronies to his Advantage

As expected, New Mexico’s LEA board rubber stamped and accepted APD Chief, Ray Schultz’s proposal to automatically have a law enforcement officer’s certification be placed in suspended status when that officer is charged with a felony crime. As our Eyes reported, fellow board member and “citizen at large” Nate Korn, and owner of Albuquerque city police contract supplier Kaufman’s West, also voted in support of this measure.

“The misconduct definitely occurred, but the officer on a technicality slipped through the cracks.” For these reasons, Chief Schultz apparently thinks its ok to subvert, and side step, the Constitution of the United States. As Chief Schultz stated in an interview, an officer’s certification is like a license and failure to meet certain requirements may lead to its suspension. Yes, thank you Chief Schultz we are aware of that. And like your statement about officers needing probably cause in order to stop a person for DWI, you are once again wrong. A person’s driver’s license gets placed in suspended status when they fail to do certain things or are to have been found to have committed certain violations NOT when they are accused of wrong doing. A “certain thing” necessary to deprive a person of their license is more than a suspicion. As with a criminal indictment, an officer facing felony charges is again accused of doing something. While Chief Schultz seems to routinely forget we are not in 1933 Germany. Under OUR laws, a person is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty. Our Legal Eyes tell us that what Chief Schultz and Mr. Korn are proposing is simply a violation of due process in an effort to remove a person’s property interest in their job. With an officer’s certification suspended, the means by which Chief Schultz can terminate the officer’s employment is clear and fast. We are not saying people have a “right” to be police officers. What we are saying is that once a person is employed, the courts recognize one’s employment as their property. And you cannot take away a person’s property without due process.

Look, we recognize that if an officer has been charged with a serious misdemeanor or felony crime, their ability to function as a police officer is all but impaired. However, remedies exist to deal with this scenario in order to respect the presumption of an officer’s innocence. The officer is relieved of their badge and gun and they are assigned an administrative duty outside of sworn officer responsibilities. In some cases administrative leave without pay may be justified. The case the media loves to point out is former APD officer Levi Chavez. But our Eyes tell us endless supervisors tried to have Mr. Chavez disciplined up through termination before the suspected murder of his late wife. There’s only one person who kept Mr. Chavez from being terminated: Chief Schultz. Now, Chief Schultz wants to put the cart before the horse and terminate officers before they’ve had their case adjudicated. There is considerable precedent where officers have been cleared of charges who have been reinstated because it was found that their termination was unjust. Chief Schultz likes to say “a prima facie showing” is all that is necessary. Maybe that logic works in his office but it doesn’t work in court or the real world. Ask former officer Timothy Chavez who was charged with rape and later cleared. He continues to collect payment from the city because APD terminated his employment unlawfully.

Given the mass exodus of the most senior and talented personnel from within APD we have to wonder to what lengths Chief Schultz will continue to go to deflect his failure upon people other than himself. Our Eyes tell us the lieutenant who has all but coordinated the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta will be retiring. Instead of anticipating this event, Chief Schultz assigned rookie supervisor Dodi Comacho as the balloon fiesta coordinator. Our Eyes tell us that her depth of experience in managing large scale events (remember the Downtown fiasco she was responsible for last winter?) has resulted in Chief Schultz assigning Commander Harold Medina and Lieutenant Fernando Aragon to assist her with this project. Instead of having one lieutenant manage the event, we now have two commanders and a lieutenant. And people wonder if the loss of experience and talent will cost the taxpayers??? Let’s also not forget the myriad issues other commander leaders have within Chief Schultz’s inner circle: DCOP Warfield has one confirmed excessive force judgment against him and one more pending. Commander Gonterman also has a judgment of excessive force against him which resulted in a bill of over $400,000 to the city’s taxpayers. Are these people going to be subject to the new LEA policy? Our Eyes tell us of course not because they are sworn to protect Chief Schultz.

Then, our Eyes tell us the APOA and FOP are all but silent in this matter. While we know many of our readers do not value organized labor, and we respect healthy dialogue, having labor push back on issues such as this is important to maintain balance. In the absence of balance, city and department leaders run amok and the effects of a demagogue such as Schultz are being seen in the spiraling debasement of a once fine agency. Now, under the reign of Chief Schultz, APD is the embodiment of arbitrary and disparate treatment of its officers. And the citizens are feeling the effects of this with poor policing, lack of trust, loss of experience and expertise, and constant scrutiny.

Remember that, in Chief Schultz’s own words, your civil rights are a mere technicality.
