Politics is one of the great American spectator sports. Not unlike other sports, everyone has an opinion and everyone has a prediction.
We've been busy polling issues, Marty's scandals, and candidates for months now. But with the election speeding our way, we thought it'd be fun to get your opinion - your prediction - of just who's gonna win our little city contest.
We'll be giving you our predictions - which are currently sealed in a Mayonnaise jar on Funkenwagnals porch - Tuesday night at 7:00pm. Use the polls below to tell us what you think.
We're not bothering with council districts 1, 7, or 9 because Ken "I love Marty" Sanchez doesn't have an opponent, Mike Cook in District 7 only faces write-in David Green, and Councilor Harris faces left of Mao socialist David Barbour whose position on the ballot is the only thing that gives him a better shot at winning than David Green has over in District 7.

I predict a run-off between Berry and Chavez. That said,,,,how damn cool would it be to have Marty eliminated tuesday right off the bat?! Wishful thinking? Maybe not....
For all the officers that read this blog: Everybody knows a cop, right? Tell all your family. Tell all your friends. It is time for a change in city hall. Sure Marty may have done a few positive things for us (few and far between). Good job buddy. Now move along and let the next man take the wheel. Twelve years? Are you freakin kidding me? And you want more? I dont think so. The people of Albuquerque are smart enough to understand, that the power you have held has gone to your head. You no longer have the city's best interest in mind. It's all about you and what you can yield out of another four years in office as our city's leader. I sincerely hope that our good citizens can recognize this and make a positive step toward positive change. And lastly, to our upper management in our great APD: don't embarrass yourself and politic for Marty just for your own personal gain. We need better.

Chavez is tanking just as Romero is peaking. Timing is everything in politics... Romero is rallying the troops and working hard because his supporters know that he'll win if he GOTV. Marty's folks are like rats jumping off a sinking ship. Don't forget, voting is still anonymous. I predict the 2 Dicks will be in a run-off.
Vote Marty Chavez. He will get rid of Shultz anyways.

Today! I got dressed read the Sunday paper and had a XMAS burrito and the Flying Star. I breathed a little easier today knowing that in only two days.... Marty Farty will hopefully not be in office!
A vote for either Romero or RJ Berry will reduce your stress!

You said that 'people of "substance" (cough cough) don't run for a Congressional seat - only a Senate seat'). Well, you didn't even get a chance to run for US Senator. The Party wanted a winner by the name of Udall.
That is when you decided that Term Limits for Mayor were not 'fair'.

Marty Farty is bad for business. He pissed off Bode Aviation and in a hurting economy for planes, the GE Aircraft soon filed for bankruptcy. Instead of being a good steward for Albuquerque, Marty Farty has sent a negative image of Albuquerque coast to coast. Marty farty got rid of Chief Gallegos after the evidence room scandel. Let' s vote Marty Farty out of office as a way to show him that businesses both local and those in the future relocating to Albuquerque need and depend on a Mayor who won't "Pay for Play," or expect freebies such as, airline tickets etc....
During the time frame that each of the 11 females found on the West Mesa went missing... no news station would report their names and their were no billboards showing their faces. Too negative?
When a Pop Culture American Icon such as, Mr. Bill who is the cute, adorable charcter on Saturday Night Live says some pretty strong words against Marty Farty, then that should say corruption in Albuquerque is really bad and it is.

Hey! Did you hear that President Clinton was making phone calls on behalf of Mayor Chavez? Yeah.... but, the call got a little fuzzy when former President Clinton accidentally said, "I did not have sex with that woman."
As a female business owner, I feel that despite how the election this year turns out that females including myself have had status raised. Romero and RJ Berry and with the help of talented people
from coast to coast have helped to raise the status of women. Martin Chavez in bringing in a former President known for lying just solidified the importance of humor as a way to release oppression. I'm sure that the women in former President Clinton's lives including the one that stood up to Clinton all did so and now must get on with their life. Though it was later proven that former President was lying about having sex with that woman.... Martin Chavez despite the horrific violence and 11 females found murdered on the West Mesa attracted
President Clinton.... I'm certain though President Clinton didn't have sex with any of the 11 females... that he was caught with his pants down on other matters, too!

During the time of government oppression, the people turned to theatre when "kicked out" for their own good by government. Reasons for "kicking out" people and excluding people from participating included: 1) tried to bring positive change 2) Officials were accused of wrongdoing and although guilty had the power to remove those that had been victimized 3)lacked money

I thank the talented people in Saturday Night Live and those affialiated with the film/tv/movie industry in stating opposition against Martin Chavez (Marty Farty). Without theatre, movies, film, tv, there would be no way for oppressed people to express themselves both directly and indirectly.

When Marty is voted out tomorrow, a complete audit needs to be done to ascertain the depth of corruption. Did he eve pay a penny of the ABQPAC back??? How does the police police department purchase equipment and supplies?? Why does the Chief's office have a million dollar supply budget?? Ray Boy will also have some explaining to do. Maybe their can share a cell together.

Update on Election: Big Bird is undecided. Earlier this morning both Marty Farty and Romero were doing a last minute two minute speech as to why Big Bird should vote for either one of the two!
Marty Farty: "I removed Oscar the Grouch out of the Trash Can because to many people complained."
Romero: "It wasn't Oscar the Grouch that the people were complaining about. It was the garbage that got mixed up and the sewer water over flowing. Once again, Marty Farty had Oscar the Grouch falsely imprisoned. Oscar the grouch joined the two traveling magazine salespeople who were latered released after the true killer matched DNA to the crime scene."

So, I'm on the natioal Do Not Call list yet everyday I get a damn call of some recording endorsing Martin Chavez for mayor. Even if I wanted to vote for that prick I wouldn't now.
I think that the film industry in New Mexico needs to fear being treated by a Mayor that would extort money for contracts such as, what Marty farty did to Bode aviation. What Marty farty did to Bode Aviation was not in the best interest of the city, but for his own personal interest! Marty farty has a problem knowing the difference!
