The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. UNCONSCIONCABLE; MELANCHOLY

As more facts start to unfold in the heinous and despicable acts of a person the media is reporting to be mentally ill, has far reaching effects on all of us. The reason the Eye On Albuquerque has chosen to do a story on this case is because there are haunting similarities to some of the police shootings here in Albuquerque.

There are several questions that must be answered for us to accurately put the pieces together.  For now, there are several assumptions that are quasi safe to assume, although, they are not facts at this time.  Here are several questions that will un-lock some of the puzzling questions about the shooting in Connecticut, USA.
Ø  What is the history of this person?

Ø  How did this person obtain firearms and an assault weapon?

Ø  Why did this monster kill innocent children and adults?
Here is our take on the answers to these questions.  Are there other questions; sure, but we want to deal with this as it relates to our community.  Some of what is said in this article is based off of what is known and some is conjecturing and may prove to not be factual.

Here we have a female kindergarten teacher who purchased several firearms in all probability for her son whom in all probability was mentally ill.  A female kindergarten teacher does not purchase an assault weapon for personal use.  A female kindergarten teacher may purchase a handgun to keep next to her bed in the event of an intruder or to defend her life or the life of another.  As the facts continue to come out, we will see that this teacher was a “helicopter” parent; always hovering over her twenty year old son to protect him from everybody and everything.  In all probability this person should have been on medication and was NOT taking it.  The facts will show that she purchased “Call of Duty Black Ops” and other violent video games to keep her mentally ill child happy and content.  You see, on a video game you “kill” someone and its extra points. Think about the way he was dressed and prepared to do the killings.  He was dressed in black fatigues, a military vest, and heavily armed.
This kindergarten teacher did not buy or do something this spoiled mentally ill person wanted; so he acted out the way you play the video games.  He started killing and killing and killing.
Here is the caveat as it relates to us here in Albuquerque.  This person was mentally ill.  This person in all probability should have been on medication.  This person in all probability was not taking those medications.  This person had an enabler who knew the dangers but chose to ignore them.  If you look back at many of APD officer involved shootings; you will see this same pattern over and over again. Notwithstanding, APD failed to train the officers better, in our opinion, and this proved to be catastrophic.  Second, there should be an NCIC data base that contains the names and issues associated with properly diagnosed mentally ill people who pose a threat to themselves and/or others.
Back on January 15, 2011, The Eye On Albuquerque posted a story (read it HERE ) about the police involved shootings and the mentally ill.  We did not just talk about it; we offered real solutions.  Of course Berry and Schultz ignored it and went on about their business of ruining the City.  APD continued to shoot and kill several more people. The following is part of that article;
“This is not a local police issue but a national crisis and should be addressed as such. Chief Schultz is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) which offers national support for police issues in addition to the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). The IACP and the FOP Presidents have spoken directly to the President of the United Stated as well as our Congress. With assistance at a national level, not only from the FOP and IACP but from our house of representatives and our senators Understanding HIPAA and other restrictive laws, the time has come to create a new index for National Crime Information Center Data Base (NCIC) to house information concerning mentally ill persons across the United States. The NCIC data base is a computerized index of criminal justice information. This would give law enforcement officers across the Country a valuable tool in dealing with this segment of our population. Knowledge is the rawest form of influence and with this type of knowledge (influence); the officer’s decision making process would shift into high gear and hopefully save lives.”
Meanwhile, things continue to deteriorate locally and nationally.  An NCIC data base is a huge step in the right direction.  Funding must come from the Feds to assist police departments across the nation in monitoring our citizens who are mentally ill and assure they are taking their medication.  In the event they are not, law enforcement must intercede and take appropriate action.  This will required collaboration and cooperation with doctors, parents, family and the community.
More gun control is not the answer here.  We have enough laws already.  This guy tried to buy a gun a few days prior to this incident. Connecticut has a mandatory waiting period which prevented this individual from having a gun.  The law worked the way it was intended.  Does anyone ever stop to think; crooks, criminals, mentally ill, thieves, etc… DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAW; THIS IS WHY THEY ARE CRIMINALS.  Only law abiding people like you and Eye follow the law.  What this means is; if more gun control is enacted, then you and Eye will not have guns but all the criminals will!  Once a person has made the conscientious decision (choice) to injure or kill, the method is irrelevant. If we pass more gun laws we will need to create more propane tank laws, kitchen knife laws and car laws. What about diesel fuel or fertilizer like ammonium nitrate that was used in the Oklahoma City bombing?  We must gain control of the offenders, their chosen method to execute their criminal acts are not the issue.
As for the schools themselves, we all know that schools are soft targets.  There should be at least one well trained armed police officer at every school.  Our greatest treasures; our children, are at schools unprotected.  Albuquerque Public Schools have a small force which could call in APD to handle most situations.  If you notice the APS Chief, Steven Tallez, hides, you never see him or hear from him.  Steve Tellez, was a mediocre sergeant at APD and now heads APS.  Our Eyes tell us the chief’s position was never circulated by APS or offered to qualified personnel.  Our Eyes also tell us Tellez was set in place by City Councilor Brad Winter who has also proved to be a great disappointment to Albuquerque. 20/20 hindsight, it was a good thing that Marty Chavez whipped Brad Winter hard when he ran for mayor.
Our hearts here at the Eye are heavy with sorrow for the children who were killed, the adults who were killed, their families and their community.  This event has to shatter the hearts of any person with a conscience.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and the community of Newtown, Connecticut, as they work their way through this catastrophe and move forward to celebrate the birthday of our Lord.

MAY GOD BLESS!

It should be noted that the name of offender of this terrible crime does not appear anywhere in this article.  The reason for this is he does not deserve to be recognized in the least.

thanks for your insights.
The man that killed the 2 officers, and three other civilians was this type. He may not have been violent when on his meds but when he wasn't...well we saw his other nature.
This person, on the other hand was maybe as you described, but in both cases they were "enabled" by people who knew their natures. Common sense says what the problems are and we/society are so indoctrinated into this "DIVERSITY" drivel.
Folks we are being led down a path that will ruin all that has been achieved. It won't matter if you are black, brown (notice some of these children's names)white, asian or romulan. The media and the gov't will continue to, by bureauratization, take us into the sunset. Sadly we believe this equality driven policy but as you see, in the real world of nature, the strong survive; unless they end it for themselves or a stronger one takes them down.

If the Kendra Law was made the law of the land in all states we would not have these folks with mental illnesses causing havok

Spot on Eye! I don't always agree with everything you write, but this was beautifully done and 100% SPOT ON.

I can agree with you on many points here but to make so many assumptions about the background of the killer or how he had possession of the weapons is not very responsible. There are plenty of teachers....male and female alike that own AR15 platform rifles. I know several. Same for handguns and all have various reasons for ownership. As for this guys mental status....that remains to be seen. Everyone who commits a crime of this nature in today's society is quickly deemed mentally ill.Its a plain and simple cop out or excuse for their actions. And we a reasonable people assume they must be mentally ill as no sane person would do something like this...but in reality they do. Who knows why but I would not in any way simplify these actions as mere anger and retaliation against his parents. Yes this is a nationwide epidemic. And something must be done. Gun control is a laugh. I am not sure how effective a national data base would be either. I would suggest at some point society must say enough is enough and draw a line. Just like after 9-11 we sacrificed civil rights and liberties for the sake of security. As we must here also. Push laws to ensure compliance for mentally ill persons who will not become voluntarily compliant. Hold our mental health professionals accountable for release of these people....especially if they are not base lined or compliant before release. Mandatory follow-ups just as if you are on parole. The list goes on. We must attack the core of the issue as there is no way we will ever curb the methods. Yes we must put armed officers in every school. APS Police is in over their heads. They leave the appearance they are too busy fighting internal battles and firing all of their officers to be concerned about security of the schools. Why APS Police even exists and that funding not transferred to APD and BCSO is a mystery.

Great article, Eye. As you said, some of the points are conjecture, but my guess many are spot on. I do have issue, however, with you proposal of the NCIC data base, but only for one reason. While I do believe that having that type of information could be invaluable, I don't know that it would have helped or prevented the shootings in Ct, and here's why. Officers would have needed some reason to come into contact with the shooter prior to the attack. That is to say, unless he ran a stop sign or was arrested for shop lifting (or some other violation) in the hours or days leading up to the shootings then no one would have run him through NCIC and found him to be a threat. So far we're not hearing any information that suggests that law enforcement had any type of interaction with the shooter before the Friday. Personally, I'm a against additional gun control laws, but I am in favor of laws to hold mental health professionals and the families of the mentally ill more responsible for that segment of our society.

APS needs to have officers that are in good health themselves. Have you seen the officers that are employed by APS? They are are old retired police officers that no longer have to take yearly physical tests. They smoke and look horrible in uniform. APS Chief get your head out of the sand and have some requirements for the APS force...

Last week Southeast Area Command Officers received a call of a male shooting in a motel off of Central Ave. Officers responded and treated the call as an active shooter, clearing the motel. SWAT Officers located the vehicle the man was in who just shot at the motel. The man was waiving a gun while driving. A Southeast Officer made a split decision to stop the vehicle before this male could shoot anyone else or wreck his vehicle into an innocent person. The vehicle was stopped and the man took his own life. The man was very capable of shooting other innocent people and his actions proved his disregard for human life. Those Officers displayed great team work and tactics. It is upsetting they have not been recognized or told by the 5th floor of the great job they did.

As we grow as a nation this type of activity will unfortunately continue without explanation. Gun control sounds like a great idea, but as we all know it is way too late. Mentally ill have rights and will always have access to firearms. People can buy guns out of the paper or on the internet with the utmost of ease. Cover your ass and do what you need to do to protect and stay alive. Thank you for the service you provide.

Yep good work by 34s last week. Of course Schultz et al were all praying and telling people negative 25 and negative 27-8. worthless traitors..

Folks, if you think the kids are safe in APS, think again. APS police have no plan except to call APD. Which is all fine and dandy, however, shouldn't there be more? What's the point in having APS 34's whenever their plan is to call APD? Ask your school what their active shooter protocol is and see if you are comfortable with it. Chances are you will be shocked.

Remember when Sgt Pettit ran CIT? Squared away as one could get. Then even Jan did a good job. But after Jan, Schultz just let it wither away like anything. Schultz even abandoned good folks in COAST. Btw...that's a "hint" to our friendly feds in town. Apd's primary units devoted to people in mental health crisis are under staffed, under prioritized, and under budgeted. But worthless wannabe cops like L Kelly are there now. Hysterical.

Great write up, some assumptions about mom are going to prove out soon. Turns out she was a prepper, so she absolutely did buy that gun for herself.

One problem with the eye, generally. Your support of left wing candidates contributes to the almost singular blame of guns in this incident. When it's actually not even the cause. They are going to exploit this as an opportunity to pass some gun control. Thank you...

If they had their way, they would have you guys going door to door to take peoples guns away. Would any of you actually follow that order?

Anonymous said...

I dare ANY goon in ANY costume to try to take my guns away.

@12/17...they WILL follow that order. As you know, most people who possess the traits necessary to be a cop to begin with, lack any critical thinking skills or intellectualism. In other words, you are hopeful that they will take the "moral" high road versus an "order" which is morally deficient. If APD swine had "morals" then how could they justify the killing of an unarmed individual by shooting them in the back? In the old days, wouldn't they hang you in town square for killing an unarmed man, cop or not?

to 1:21 .....I am a as you say a "left wing" person that does support gun rights, to an extent. I am also a gun owner. So to say "if they had their way, they would have you guys going door to door to take peoples guns away" is grossly inaccurate. However, I don't understand why anyone would need an assault rifle for protection.....? Isn't a handgun enough?

Schultz abandon coast because they filed a grievance against his friend. Same woman who went on to take the stage at IACA and claim credit for all the work 34s actually did. And it wasn't Karen Salazar it was Karen Fischer.

If DoJ really wants a great read go see how a couple of Karens went from secretaries to running two divisions inspite of getting sued by their employees time and time again.

The SWAT team lets a "contained" suspect drive right out of their control? What the heck is going on at APD? In the old days a secure scene would mean "SECURE". If the bad guy tried to drive away there would be spike strips in the driveway and officers ready to give pursuit. This is embarrassing. I can only imagine that no one wants to do anything with force because Schultz will toss them underthe DOJ Bus.

What the heck is going on at APD? Now we have a 7 year officer arrested for burlary and he and other officers are being investigated for drugs!!!!!!! Why is Schutlz still chief, hasn't the leadership of APD ruined this department already? Time for a change. Gosh by the time these cops get arrested and the APOA bookkeeping scandel busts wide open will APD have any officers left? Oh but Schultz is here to fix it, he won't admit his failed leadership has caused this.

The fact that none of the cops that read this had the balls to answer 1:21's question...which was a good one...I'm withdrawing my support for them, since they are punks.

I am concerned about APS because I have kids there. APS Police Chief seems to be a ghost, he needs to come out, is he afraid? I heard the assistant chief has a problem with white powder, maybe they ought to be drug tested and IQ tested for that matter. it is frightening to think that our kids are not safe.

I'll answer the dumb question.. No!! Nobody want's your stupid guns you paranoid sheeple. Obama won a second term, get over it and move on. We have a Republican Mayor and a inept Police chief pulling as much crap as the most corrupt officals ever have. Keep your focus here. Here is where the danger is dummys......
