Schultz is the root of the problem here,, and also Levy, who is never more than three feet away from him. Schultz is causing everyone around him to look bad. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Schultz must go. How long has he been chief or DC? Yet, he has the temerity to stand there and criticize APDs behavior and image? HE has been the captain of the ship for damn near a decade. When is it fair to hold HIM accountable? If APD is out of control can anyone explain why it isn't a failure of his "leadership"?

According to this mornings news on KOAT, Brad admits telling his friend he was under investigation. He says though that he thought it was strictly an APD investigation, didn't realize the feds were involved.
That makes him corrupt. A small infraction is still wrong. Does he deserve jail, no, but commit a crime pay with time or money.
Its my belief that 80% of APD are good honest cops, but the other 20% are involved in everything from releasing confidential info, to stealing from the intoxicated, helping friends/family get charges dropped, taking money not show up to court or committing criminal offenses. Its up to the 80% to get rid of the 20%. Starting with Schultz.
percentage is more like 90% to 10%. Most APD Police Officers stand up for what is right.
Any officer tipping off friends or anyone else to criminal investigations doesn't get my support. Doesn't matter what agency it is. Not a smart move at all.
Sure he may have done something wrong but prison - REALLY! That's wrong in my opinion. Even if they didn't dismiss his conviction why aren't they prosecuting Darren and Peaches? That's my opinion.
Why aren't they prosecuting Ron Olivas who, despite his CO's direct order to keep info confidential, chose to devulge such info to Brad? As I see it, Olivas is the real culprit here but it appears he's protected and only got suspension of 120 days.
Ron Olivas is also 1 of the 4 on duty APD officers involved in disturbing evidence in the Levi Chavez murdercase. Will he be slapped on the wrist and told "bad boy" again?
Brad should not be made the scapegoat and he should not serve time behind bars while Olivas who set him up and others who lied walk free.

It's widely known Darren is being protected. Feb 4, 2011 post titled "The Truth?! Some Simply Can't Handle the Truth" contains letter written by Erika Bryan which shows Darren's (Sheriff Butter Butt's)involvement.
