The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. TASERTown: "Don't Grease Me Bro!"

 And IT starts to unravel.....

Faced with scrutiny that's grown like the city's national reputation for government crime and corruption, Richard "RJ" Berry came out of the shadows to answer questions about Taser and his electro-dynamic duo, Tom Streicher and Scott Greenwood's connections to Taser.

In an interview with KOAT's Regina Ruiz, Berry confirmed what we've all but known. That they either knew about Streicher & Greenwood's commercial pay-to-play dealings with Taser and didn't care OR they knew about it and didn't care. Either way, we care because it's either gross incompetence or gross corruption, and kudos for Ms. Ruiz for boxing RJ in.

When asked about the vetting process for these two Taser contractors, oops, we mean "consultants," Berry said:

"That wasn't a topic of discussion because that's not what we hired them to do."

"No, didn't ask."

"I don't believe there's a conflict of interest."

"We hired them to negotiate this agreement, not to pick what equipment we use inside the Albuquerque Police Department from the stand point of one brand or the other."

So tell us RJ, with DOJ confirming that APD has a pattern and practice of use of force abuses involving Tasers, do you really think these two fellows are going to do ANYTHING that is against Taser's interests in Albuquerque? Are they really going to endorse ANYTHING that reduces the use and deployment of Tasers? Of course not, because they are conflicted out.  That would be like hiring a Federal ammunition rep to come to the city and recommend the department start using Remington bullets! That would be like having TJ be a spokesperson for city fitness standards! That would be like having Rob Perry as a spokesperson for sobriety! That would be like having APD's spokesperson Janet Blair be a spokesperson for IPRA compliance! That would be like having Schultz as a spokesperson for...oh well you get our point. It's just....greasy!

He says this wasn't a topic of conversation because a local business owner referred him to the Cincinnati people. Hmmm, could this local business owner be Ray Schultz or Darren White?

Look folks, let's quit the dancing around. What's going on here is nothing short of public corruption at its worst. A top city employee got a sweet gig after hooking a large city vendor up with a sweet deal. Now we have all sorts of other leaders either playing dumb ( meaning they're incompetent) or concealing what happened (meaning they're committing crimes).

I mean, we all know that Schultz "greased" the way for Taser to get their largest police contract in their history and then left the department to work for Taser. (Our Eyes tell us it's not IF the hammer drops on that little play-n-pay scenario but WHEN...). We know that Schultz endorsed, conspired, and actively violated the law on many occasions in an effort to promote and keep his commercial dealings with Taser from being derailed. Heck, he even changed APD rules and regulations so that officers could use their Taser's more frequently! And so it goes....

___________________________________________

But just when things couldn't get more disgusting, things continue. We've been quietly watching as the lawsuit against the city and Darren White unfold in the Mary Han case. Well, it seems yesterday the other shoe dropped. The family of the deceased civil rights attorney has filed against the "esteemed" former NM Supreme Court justice (and frequent visitor to Socorro we are told) for his tampering and, rather loose accounting, of his former partner's estate. You see if anybody knows anything about probate, we know that it is a long slow drawn out process. Yet some how Kennedy was able to get himself named as the estate's personnel representative about a week after Ms. Han was found deceased by none other than....Kennedy. Of course, Kennedy's lawyer, Chuck Peifer (also the same lawyer defending the Journal and Kent Walz) said his client's hands are clean and that it's all Ms. Han's family's fault.  Blaming the family of a woman whose death scene was trampled by over two-dozen people from the city.  Really taking the high road on that one Mr. Peifer.

The lawsuit says Kennedy had unrestricted access to Ms. Han's estate for almost a year before being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Oops....

Go Regina! Great reporting as usual from you! Martinez and Berry are slashing funding and gutting our government while they deceptively, and slyly I might add, increase our taxes. Where is the money going? To the wealthy, all funded by the poor. The gross receipts tax unfairly requires the poor individual to pay a higher percentage of their disposable income to taxes than the wealthy. They are creating a police state as enforcer, using Albuquerque as the testing ground for pushing the limits on civil rights violations. Berry needs to go! As was reported in Regina’s link, he is going to continue to dig his heels in rather than be a leader. If Martinez gets reelected, she will be even more aggressive in her plan to eliminate government, allow corporations free reign to do whatever they want and expand to create a police state beyond Albuquerque. But her plan may backfire, as it has with the other city and state governments that the Koch brothers funded politicians have lead. As has happened there, it is also happening here. Our economy is tanking and New Mexico's reputation nationally and internationally has been sullied, and it can get A LOT worse. This is exactly what happened to Arizona and other cities and states. This is causing a crisis in the state economically. We continue to drop further in rankings and are at the bottom for education, child welfare, poverty. VOTE IN THE PRIMARY! If King wins on Tuesday, we are doomed. If you think it's bad now, wait, it will get a lot worse as Martinez will have nothing to lose and Berry has already lost all of his political capital.

Re: Mary Han, her legacy lives on and she will NOT DIE IN VAIN! TRUTH MATTERS AND JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL! Your arrogance in thinking you are above the law is despicable!

Hey Berry,
Don't forget the local businessman's name who referred these guys come deposition and statement time.
You liar.

This is why Berry hides. Because every time he opens his mouth he provides more evidence and lies for a prima facie cases against all of these criminals. He says he had no clue about the two consultants and their employment with Tazer. Now it is time to IPRA request every shred of correspondence involving the hiring of these two. When one shred of evidence shows he lied, which we all know is the case, the Feds should then start a full scale investigation into the entire city government, and then indict all who are involved in trying to cover up Tazergate.

It is funny how Berry will go hire two individuals to handle the biggest scandal to ever hit this city, at the direction of some "business owner," but thousands of poorer city residents who have been calling for help because their rights have been walked on for years goes ignored.
We see how you are Berry. One rich guy who can scratch your feeble dirty back down the line is worth two middle class citizens shot in the back in the bush. Scum bag.

One thing is consistent here. It is the same old actors in the mix every single time. Paul Kennedy, Perry, Berry, all trying to provide cover for the same people and their antics, not out of loyalty, but because they know that if one goes down they all go down.
Hope y'all brought your parachutes, because it's a long way down to where you all are going. Hope the canopy holds up to all that heat.

Can someone explain the reference to Kennedy's visits to Socorro, please?

Berry made a big mistake saying a business owner recommended the two city hired DOJ negotiators. A big mistake.

There's a popular meeting place for high class hooked. That's what Socorro is all about. And for White Schultz and Fat Fuck TJ...see you at Tingley you middle-aged soft maggots....

This is a shame. A driver was pulled over in I40 in Albuquerque today by NMSP, and just died. He probably thought he was pulled over by APD and had a heart attack fearing that had was going to get shot for taking off his sunglasses, picking up a cell phone, or the glint of sun from his window that the officer thought was a gun.

http://tablet.krqe.com/r2940/55947a9d

It is sad when people are so scared shitless of the police they just drop dead upon being stopped.

I believe "B & B Watcher" meant "hookers", not "hooked". And the only things that elevate them to "high class" status are their prices and the fact that they don't have to stomp up and down Central every night and take their chances with the demented and a certain low level class of scum in APD.

Berry is incapable of telling the public the truth. So here it is. Schultz did a pay to play deal for Taser and got Taser the $2,000,000 contract. In return Taser gave Schultz a high paying job. The only question outstanding is if Schultz or Perry or any other insider purchased Taser stock in the days preceding the contract. That's called insider trading. It is illegal just like pay to play. More truth. Berry didn't hear it from a business owner, what a bunch of lies. He knew to call Greenwood because Schultz told him. Schultz had already been working with Greenwood for two years hoping to avoid a DoJ investigation that would expose his corruption. That is why when Greenwood first arrived in Albuquerque on April 14 the first words out of his mouth to the media was that there was no corruption at APD. Go look it up. Greenwood and Taser are trying hard to protect Schultz and Berry. But there is corruption and the IG and State Auditor are about to expose it. The emails from KRQE the statements given by Schultz and Berry and Greenwood show the house of cards is falling apart. I only hope the US Attorney indicts Schultz this summer. Action by the City Council would be nice but they seem scared of their own shadows.

I wouldn't pop the cork just yet. The city's own investigator general or whatever he or she is called, is doing the "investigating " and I'll bet you a month's salary (mine being just above the new minimum wage thanks to not having a raise in 5 yrs.) that this internal monkey is on the take to find NO SHENNAGINS HERE! MOVE ALONG MOVE ALONG ....NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

Do you think people aren’t interested in voting? They are with their dollars and feet.
Predicting the future of our economy due to the illustrious Martinez/Berry leadership…..
If this poll is even half correct this economy is doomed for a long time. You need to vote to get the result.

Did Paul Kennedy star in "A Nightmare Before Christmas"? Kenndey sure does look like Jack Skeleton. He spends thousands on expensive cloths, but that bald head, nasty face, trumps it all.

Paul Kennedy really looks more like NOSFERATU, the 1921 movie version of Dracula: Bald head, bony face, hollow black eyes, pointed ears and hunched back, and long fingers. Downright creepy resemblance. Far more appropriate for a lawyer being blood sucker.

Yea, and it meets up with your mother down on Central.

More like gangsters ( pigs are smart).
They hunted her like hyenas (sent dogs after her), then executed her with kill shots. WHY? What was she going to reveal? What message did this send? Reminds of poor Tera Chavez 's execution to stop the leak on the car theft ring.

A few weeks ago, Eden appeared before a group of local business people. Eden said that things are not as bad with APD as being reported and that it is all media hype. Eden also said that all the reforms Berry but in place are working and that rank and file cops are happy and most are content on doing their job. The biggest problem was not that Eden said what he said but that the business people seem to nod and agree with what was being said.

NO WONDER ALBUQUERQUE IS A MESS. WITH THE CHILD COMMENTS POSTED ON THIS BLOG YOU LOSE ALL RESPECT. THE TASER CONNECTION IS A BIG TIME CORRUPTION BUT ALL THE COMMENTORS WANT TO DO IS MAKE FUN OF HOW PEOPLE LOOK. NO WONDER WE ARE LAST IN THE NATION WE DESERVE IT.

on Buzzfeed - Journal's Gallagher thinks Abq is beyond help:

The city can also be a dangerous place, one where drug trafficking and addiction have thrived, and where the myriad associated crimes have, said Mike Gallagher, a veteran investigative reporter with the Albuquerque Journal, produced “a deeply embedded criminal subclass that is multigenerational and almost impossible for police to root out.” In the 1980s and ‘90s, the city’s violent crime rates roughly equaled — and at times even exceeded — those of Phoenix and Houston, and even when I visited in February, city officials and editorial writers were debating which television show made the city look worse, Breaking Bad or Cops. (The Journal chose the former; politicians went with the latter.) Recalling a case in which a woman strangled another woman to death, then cut a baby out of the victim’s womb with a pair of car keys, Gallagher put it this way: “This is a really mean town. Shit goes on here that doesn’t make any sense.”

Paul Kennedy here is a tip: blaming the daughter of your dead partner is not an excuse for your greed. Ask anyone involved with dissolving a business and they will tell you it can and should be done within a year not 4.

9:55,
Eden is a liar. Plain and simple. He is lying for Berry. He is Berry's punk boy. I have spoken with officers. They are disgusted and they say everyone is afraid to do anything. They are not able to do their jobs because Eden and his group of cowards will throw them under the bus the minute they need to deflect blame or provide cover for themselves. That is the truth. You want to confirm it, just ask a cop. That is ask one who isn't scared shitless of retaliation.

A few years ago one of the national conferences was in Cincinnati. Someone work with the media up there to go back over the footage. I will bet a meal at Barelas coffee house there is a photo of Whote, Schultz, Fischer, and the then Chief of Cincinnati, aka half of the wonder twins.

Paul Kennedy is notoriously corrupt & known for doing 'body swaps' with dirty cops. (He actively courts clients with potential lawsuits against police, then makes deals to get his criminal clients free from legal troubles, in exchange for making the lawsuit fizzle away.)

Anonymous said...

The Albuq Journal has a bit about how Ms. Han's sister is a trouble maker and Kennedy is the good guy. Here is the problem with that - Kennedy and the Journal have the same lawyers. That's right folks both are represented by Charles Peifer. Waskily Rabbits!

Anonymous said...

Kent Waltz and the Journal are soon to learn what getting caught doing libel and conspiracy is all about. They can laugh now but the fucking party's over. Ethics violations concerning relationships can and will lead to criminal issues and criminal issues will lead to charges, prison and a bankrupt newspaper, or a shut down one. We'll see how funny it is here real soon. Every pen strike is written record and a pattern.

He did that to my case . Nobody cared and nobody ever will. I don't believe all of APD is bad, but in my experience, there is an element of highly protected individuals that run this city. They hurt people and get away with it. I'm one of the lucky ones. I am alive.
