The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Breen Loses; Girlfriend Wins

Albuquerque’s Fire Chief, Breen, was slammed late today by the IAFF Local 244. The Union stomped on Breen and gave a hard hitting vote of “No Confidence.” Ironically, while Breen was being trampled on by the Union his girlfriend, Kimberly Swift, walked on her DRUNK DRIVING car crash case (see it here).

Swift told officers to call Darren White to the scene when she crashed, this was reported by the Eye in a prior posting (read it here). A Craigslist posting claimed that Swift told officers that Breen and White could get her out of it. Too bad at the time Darren White was busy; otherwise, Swift would have been the first alleged drunk driver to be driven away from a crash scene (next would be Kathy White).

Breen spent this past weekend “buttering up” his employees at the Albuquerque Convention Center in an attempt to avoid a vote of “No Confidence.” Apparently the Fire Union employees did not like the “butter job” they received.

Maybe White can get his old job back as a cabbie. He could then give out his card to everyone in the Berry Administration. This way when they crash and are intoxicated he can rescue them from the scene.

The Union carries a wallop! The last vote of “No Confidence” was given to Darren White, who left the City skidding on his keister. Maybe Breen needs to purchase some keister pads, right away? Our Eyes told us that Breen was called into the Mayor’s Office and was told he was a “liability.” Maybe Breen can hitch a ride with White? Maybe not…

Shultz should be next. He has gone after his own officers as a form of retaliation.

Hell yeah schultz is a retaliator! I have heard him with my own ears doing so! The whole damn admin needs to go! Starting with Berry! F them ALL!!!!!

It really is time for Schultz to go. He has been Chief or DC for the better part of ten years. If APD is doing poorly, he clearly deserves most of the blame.
It's almost comical to see him blaming the sergeants and officers for everything, when HE has been up there for so long.
He has lost all credibility and should be challenged at every public venue from now on. City Council, the POC, and any others.

Schultz' M.O. start an I.A, investigation, then a criminal investigation using public resources!

This is done if you disagree with him or are smarter than him, which 99% of the people in the department are.

OHH, by the way Ray Boy is the smartest person in city government, just ask him!

No confidence vote 64%-36%! How could anybody think Breen was doing a good job??? He admitted he hates his job and wished he never took it in the first of his three "Please, like me, please!!!" meetings. Well anyway IAFF 244 has let their voice be heard! Get rid of Chief Jellyfish!!! FMB

Mayor Berry's entire public safety team is joke. Darren White quits and leaves the state, Shultz has so many current scandals if boggles the mind and now Chief Breen couldn't even beg his way out of a vote of no confidence. Albuquerque are you paying attention? Do you not see what a total train wreck Mayor Berry has caused with Albuquerque public safety?

Breen's ex and Darren's soon to be ex both got off scott free. Guess that's what happens when you're dating members of the dream team.
Hmm. Who's Ray's babe? Will she be gettin off? Poll taken says no.

Unbelievable! This is an outrage! If a Ms. Kim Swift's blood test and/or breath test showed more than double the legal limit, then this is an outrage that Kim Swift's charges of DWI was dismissed!

I think someone should be taking a look at the officers involved bank accounts.

The main problem is Berry. If Breen is gone he will just bring in someone else he can control. Public safety is going to have to deal with this for the next 2 1/2 years. Like it or not. Once this administration is outta here...things might change. Until then we must ride out the wave!! Be careful what you wish for.

Berry, Perry, White, Schultz and Breen are proof that power corrupts. Complain all you want about Manny Aragon and Bill Richardson. None of Berry's rat pack is any better. Schultz may be the worst of them all.

Us idiot firefighters are so stupid that we leaked the AFD EMS run report and destroyed Darren White in one week. You are right I am positive that was part of our brilliant mayor's master plan. Just like it was part of his plan to not be able to control his own IRO report which is now done and will be another atom bomb in the corrupt Berry and Perry administration. You right wing anti union fool's make me laugh. Saying that Berry is happy about more damaging news for one of his puppets is retarded. But look at the source what can one expect.

PS- I wonder how happy Breen is that we fell into Berry's masterful trap. What a F*** Head.

Isn't there even one of you right wing fools who can make an intelligent statement?

Many have stated that this blog is a Right Wing , conservative, republican minded blog. That maybe correct as it played a huge role in Marty's demise.
This Right Wing blog will do the same, only with a vengeance to topple this current CORRUPT REPUBLICAN administration.

Swift had a blood alcohol level of 0000000.0000000!!!!

Anonymous said...

According to the criminal complaint Swift let her car roll backwards hitting a parked car. She then took off and was stopped by Officer L. in an alley north of Central off of Richmond. Officer R showed up and made contact with Swift. She had a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. She was eating gum/candy and stated that she had consumed alcohol. She was given a field sobriety test and showed signs of impairment on all three tests. She was arrested, placed in the back of the unit and transported to PTC where she was read the NM Implied Consent Act. She REFUSED to be tested.

Yeah 10:41 poster, she had an alcohol level of 0000000.0000000 because she refused to be tested.

The corruption is everywhere, The TOP ADMINISTRATION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND FIRE DEPARTMENT . THE TOP ADMINISTRATION OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY OFFICE,THE I.R.O.,AND INTERNAL AFFAIRS. Everyone does what they are told, given a promotion to lie for the administration, or are told they will be fired if the don't lie.Why do you think I have to post under anonymous?!!!!! Where the hell is Gary King and Governor Martinez. Oh I forgot, they are politicians too.

Nothing in public safety is going to change so long as the Mayor has sole control over who he picks to be "His Boys," and how he chooses to control them.

If we honestly want good, competent people to actually run these public safety departments, than the Mayor's power to appoint and then control them NEEDS to be removed. No one politician should have that much control over such important positions.

Some people have said we should vote for who would be the AFD/APD Chiefs; BAD idea! That only means we would have politicians with political agendas running those departments and not truly competent people with the much needed experience required.

(The following is an adjusted copy/paste from another Eye On Albuquerque comments section)

What we need to do is remove the Mayor from the process of choosing his various Public Safety Hacks (aka Chiefs) and create a Public Safety Committee, or commission. As an example, said Committee could be made of of 1 AFD, 1 APD Admin person and 1 Union rep from each Union. Add to that, 2 people from the Mayor's office, and either two from the City Consul (Or 2 people they appoint) from various backgrounds and experience. Then make those Chiefs of APD, AFD accountable to this Committee, NOT to the Mayor or his designee (The DOPS), and so long as these Chief do their jobs competently and in the best interest of public safety, they will continue to have a job, no matter who the Mayor is. By creating this committee the two Chiefs can no longer be manipulated by the Mayor and they will actually be able stand up and tell the Mayor, or City Consul, "No, that's not in the interest of public safety!" At the same time, if the Committee sees that one of it's Chief isn't doing their job in the best interest of public safety or receives enough valid complaints to warrant their removal, than the Committee can replace that Chief at any time.

Can that happen? Sure. Should it happen? Probably. Will it? not likely. Why? Because no Mayor or potential Mayor wants to lose that much power and control. But imagine if it was like that today, Finally do we even need a Director Of Public Safety and if so, let the above committee choose him as well.

where might we find an honest commission. a commission that is not wrought with political cronyism? Where. if this Deaton IRO is any indication, then we as a society are morally bankrupt.

Last night's celebrations turns one's stomach.
Yeah, the joke's on you Albuquerque.
You citizens were taken for a ride as Peaches, Darren, Paiz and Schultz sip cocktails in 'Jubilation"

How cavalier to celebrate such hypocrisy.
Bet you're feeling as good as Ted Kennedy after Chappaquiddick.

Relish in your dishonesty you despots.

To Paul McC: That is a great idea and it does take ultimate power away from those who would abuse it!

To the Anonymous who said..."Us idiot firefighters are so stupid that we leaked the AFD EMS run report and destroyed Darren White in one week."

That admission (Right or wrong) indeed was very stupid on your part. Even though "You" may be Anonymous, that EMS run report is protected by HIPA!! Thus, by admitting that it was purposely leaked, you just opened a can of worms, and those AFD crews involved in any way, shape of form will now be investigated.

Thank you for your input.

This is where I get confused...

The IRO judged that the report was not covered by HIPAA because AFD is not primarily a billing agency. Or did I read the report wrong?

I'm not understanding what I'm reading on the court website. Where does it state that she's walking scott free? I see the case is set for pre-trial on 8/12/2011. Doesn't look to me like anything's been dropped....

Please Note: The Eye has been told that the officer has refiled the case against Swift.
