The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Is Judge Murdoch just a Distraction?

The media has been lavishing in the news concerning Judge Murdoch, but is Murdoch just a pawn in Ray Schultz’s game of chess? Cases like this take several weeks or months to put together. Yet, Murdoch’s case is completed from start to finish in two days. The Eye smells a rat. Did Schultz have this investigation rushed to distract from his own behavior? Where was Chief Schultz when one of the biggest arrests in APD history was made?

Murdoch may have been a participant in some type of perverted acts but is he actually guilty of raping a prostitute? A person who accepted money in exchange for sexual acts? Our Eyes tell us that the “tape” shows Murdoch (who is partially paralyzed) participating in “role playing.” Can this partially paralyzed man actually rape someone? Really? According to one new site (read it here), “The woman told police she met with the judge about eight times and he paid her about $200 each time. She said he forced himself on her during one visit, and she returned and secretly recorded a second forced encounter.” How is it that this prostitute, after being traumatized from being raped, managed to grab her camera, return to Murdoch’s, collect her $200 and video tape being raped again? The alleged rape victims’ boyfriend sold the DVD to police for $400.00? Does this add up to anyone? The Eye doesn’t buy this rubbish. The Eye is not belittling any legitimate victim of rape. Rape is an extremely serious offense.

The Eye wants to present a different logical look at this situation. Schultz is in hot water for lying and participating in Darren White’s crimes. Murdoch’s case comes up and Schultz decides to have his staff rush it and make the arrest to distract from his own misdeeds. He sends out the only deputy chief who has not been draped with Schultz and White’s fiascos. Schultz could not send out Paiz because she allegedly ordered Walck to falsify his report. Schultz could not send out Banks because Banks supposedly knew about the whole cover-up plot and did not report it. DC Feist was the only stool-pigeon left to sacrifice. Schultz is given an opportunity to run his department and “shine” but instead he hides. Why? Where was Schultz when the big arrest was made? Is he afraid of the media asking him why he lied to everyone? Is he afraid the media will ask why he participated in Darren White’s fiasco? What is Schultz afraid of?

This entire mess is called a smoke scene or a ruse. Yes, Murdoch may have done something wrong by hiring a prostitute but will the final facts support the media grand-standing that the police department has taunted? Based on the face-value of the facts given up to this point, the Eye is calling this one now; Murdoch will be found not guilty of the current felony charges. This appears to be mostly an illegal civil matter and a possible misdemeanor solicitation of a prostitute. The real facts will, in all probability, support the concept that Schultz wanted someone else shoved under the bus to save his own hide. In this process DC Feist was made to look like a fool.

Here we go again, another cover-up involving one of Darren White’s followers.

FIRE THE WHOLE GD FIFTH FLOOR.
THE ENTIRE CITY IS TALKING ABOUT YOUR INABILITY TO TAKE THESE AHOLES TO TASK.
UNLESS, JUST MAYBE, YOU TOO HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE AS WELL.

Are you kidding. Taking down Murdock over buying a prostitute?
This ain't gonna bode well with the folks when the facts come out on this one Berry.
Just what kind of a freak show are you running downtown?

Schultz put the bums rush on this one, and didn't count on the DA refusing to hear this case. Now what? Gotta call in a special prosecutor for this one too.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO STEP IN AND TAKE OVER THIS WHOLE SNAKE RANCH YOUR RUNNING BERRY.

20 years of breaking bitches over the hoods of cars in their 34 days has eventually lead to the events of recent.
Schultz and White are the criminals that should be behind bars; plenty of prostitutes will attest to that.

Amazing how Schultz could get Murdoch in two days but took almost three years to do anything about Levi Chavez. Hello???

Schultz has known about Murdoch using prostitues for awhile and did nothing. Just put it in the file he keeps on anyone he worries about. This time he needed to get the heat off him so he smoked the crippled judge.

Schultz is to APD what J. Edgar Hoover was to the FBI. He's spying on EVERYONE in order to keep himself in power.

POWER CORRUPTS. ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.

Well said, my thoughts exactly. do you think that the fact that he was the judge on the Rebecca vigil Giron corruption case has anything to do with this. why didn't she go to the police to setup this sting??? could it be that she made this up because she got caught on tape doing sexual acts for money, and this is her way of staying out of jail?? why didn't the police try to send her back to do their own sting, and investigation?? if she was so concerned about being raped why did she, and her boyfriend sell the video for monetary gain instead of taking it to the police. I'm disgusted with how they handled this investigation

This police department is out of control. It may very well be the result of its leadership, but the entire force is going to suffer the consequences when the public says enough is enough and we take matters into own hands and clean house at civic plaza. Up to this point the civil unrest has only been vocal that doesn't seem to have any effect..............The frame up job on judge Murdoch may be enough to lite the fuse of action.

The fact that the "clean" cops on the force have not spoken up or taken action leads us to believe there are no clean cops left ................... If there are it is way past time to man up and take a stand! Speak up now or consider yourselves part of the problem to be dealt with by the angry mobs that are forming.

Backpage.com's publishers need to be held accountable for allowing ads with sexually explicit content that plays on the emotions that prostitution and engaging in such makes a disabled man feel like a non-stricken polio partially paralyzed man to be posted... what is going on! Despite all the crap out there.... prostituion is illegal in New Mexico. Pat Murdoch wasn't thinking. Pat Murdoch failed to consider the possiblity of extortion and blackmail in inviting into his own home a female prostitute to have sex for money that had a boyfriend/pimp with a lengthy criminal history. That puts cases in jeapordy in somebody having a Judge "in their pocket." Pat Murdoch gave money for sex. This is illegal in New Mexico. The State Legislators need to write a law that goes after publishers such as, "Backpage.com" for gaining profit on the backs of prostitutes and playing on the emotions of a disabled men. A disabled man that hasn't had sex that has sexual fantasies and cannot find a female partner by social networks might engage in illegal activity that becomes violent. Inside State Hospitals there are patients who are mentally challenged and/or physically challenged that had difficulty in social dating so raped and/or hired prostitutes and raped the prostitute. It is possible to rape a prostitute. Stats show that most prostitutes are engaged in that illegal activity because of drug abuse. For a District Court Judge to be caught engaging with drug users, prostitutes and pimps and allowing such into his own home puts the Judicial Scales of Justice at risk of becoming unbalanced.

A few years ago, I sent out an email about the dark side of ARCA which discussed my vibe that legal guardians were taking adults with down syndrome and/or mental retardation to prostitutes. Well, not long after that, I saw on the news how a support group decided to formulate a dating club for ARCA adults acting as a social network. My research inside State Mental Hospitals led me to read about how nurses inside State Mental Hospitals would change their bras right in front of patients with the belief that a mental patient doesn't have the capacity or need for sex. Often, there is a very real physiological occurance stemming from arousal. Pat Murdoch's childhood polio left him with a physcial impairment. While there are support groups for people with physical impairments in the dating scene it is up to the individual to define for himself/herself what he or she finds attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The dating scene for any person in any walk of life can be difficult. Making the right connection, keeping that connection if possible and finding romance is what living life is all about. People who utilize prostitutes might have a sexual deviance associated with a mental, physical or emotional issue. Hopefully, Pat Murdoch will get the professional help he needs to find the social networks and support in place to begin dating people within his own intelluctual network.

In the play, "Cyrano de Bergerac," a highly intelluctual man with a big nose "believes that his ugliness denies him the "dream of being loved by even an ugly woman."
The movie, "Roxane," starring Steve Martin depicted a life for a man with a big nose. Daryl Hannah played Roxane who fell in love with the poetry in the man.

Society deserves better than ads appearing in backpage.com! It (prostitution) might appear to be an easier route in finding sexual gratification, but it is rejection that makes a person stronger. Staying in the dating scene of stumbling into learning poetry, art, winemaking etc... is what gives people insight and connections. The movie, "Pretty Woman," might actually exist in some walks of life where the male falls in love with the prostitute-
It takes more character to find a mate in the dating scene!

He may be guilty of hiring a prostitute but this sounds like a set up.

A woman who is raped is not going to go back again just so she can tape it for profit. Do not let the 5th floor distract us as to what is really important. Let Murdoch's case be handled by the courts. Keep the pressure on the 5th floor and demand charges against White, Mcconnell-White, Schultz, and any DC or ranking officer that was involved, be filed. NO MORE CORRUPTION!

Anonymous said...

I agree wholeheartedly with this piece and with the comments. I said the exact same thing in a comment posted to KOAT and within five minutes it was removed. The whole fiasco is a setup. Anyone who has seen the judge in person knows that he is not capable of overpowering a woman. The role play makes the most sense and mentioning that caused my post to be deleted. Also the mention of a certain lady walking if the judge is not able to sit at the bench on August 1.

Schultz is already playing dress up - as a cop!

The press and certainly the public knows very little of what goes on downtown. Why do you think TJ has a job.
If this was the mob ( which by all accounts is) then sleeping with the fishes would be the first order of business.
Quite frankly, to the citizens of Albuquerque, these people are scary and you do not want to be remotely caught up in any of their shit.

Anonymous said...

Ray Schultz set the judge up to distract from the fallout of the Darren White cover-up that was headed his way. I think he may have prodded by Gary King who was furious at the judge for exposing his legal conflicts of interest in that case, which seems more like a set up job every day.

Anonymous said...

What reason on earth did Schultz have to rush an investigation in 2 days? It has to be a setup or at least using info he already knew as a setup for when the time was right. If Schultz ever needed a page 1 distraction, it was now.

Anonymous said...

Puhleeze let me proofread before you post, it's "ruse" not rouse.

Other than that, yeah, the whole thing sounds like a set up. Somebody talks to hooker, tells her this is what you say when they ask yoiu, in the meantime, here, tape this. That said, Murdock shouldn't have been hiring pros. He left himself open for this, and is lucky they didn't rob and kill him.

Anonymous said...

"Arrest, then investigate. Makes no sense."

Pack your bags boys...Berry will be forced to act now. This is on the national level.

Anonymous said...

To the bonehead that thought the judge was set up by the former secretary of state, the judge ruled on HER behalf, not against her. No reason for her to do him in, big reason for Gary King to.
Remember that Gary King has flimsy evidence on all 3 of his corruption cases, and they were filed to give him publicity to run for higher office. King will not win any of them, and in all 3 cases he had conflicts of interest in going after his political enemies. The only thing worse than a politician is a politician dragging down law enforcement.

This is a sad situation all the way around. Murdoch is a well respected Judge. I have noticed that he has not been at any of the grad ceremonies this last year for APD, BCSO, and Correctins. Huummmm.

On the comment from the Levi Chavez case. He may be getting what he deserves, BUT, VCSO did the criminal case which took 3 years. Not Shultz. The way VCSO states they were intimidated by APD. Yeah right. I know Aaroon Jones from VC. He alos thought it was a suicide, thats why he allowed PD to clean up.

Schultz, Paiz, Banks, just for starters. That leaves Paul Fiest as interim Chief. Then again when this toilet bowl gets cleaned, he too will go down with the rest of them.
Berry & Perry; it sucks to be you.
RJ, they got anything on you too that we should be concerned about? I'll bet they do don't they?
I know Darren certainly does and TJ is sittin on a mountain of Darren's incriminating insurance policies.

Judge Murdock was always one of the best and fairest judges on the bench. I say it was a total set up and yes, if she was being forced into sex WHY did she go back 8 freaking times?? and WHY didn't PD arrest a self admitted hooker and pimp on site??????????

I think it's more than ironic that the Vice unit's sergeant is talking about a video with sex acts in it. After all Matt has lots of experience in that, don't you Matt???

Hypocrisy at the highest level.
Who knows how many at the highest levels at PD have hired hookers?

How many times has 'Joy boy' Darren done so, or Ray, or Fiest, or Banks, past DCs and others. Or who has allegedly raped dancers at TDs?(ES) Not to mention the White's affiliations to Billy Baldwin (Horse & Angel-Peaches hangout) and visits to the Albuquerque 'playboy' mansion. Is that whore house off limits?

How many millions can we afford in Ray Schultz, lack of leadership, lawsuits???????

I'm not a detective but if a ci points to a man holding a dvd case that I was gonna buy and I was a detective; I would do a consentual contact on the guy and ask for the dvd. If he doest give it I have probable cause for a search warrant to get the dvd.

All those 2 scumbags have to claim in they felt pressured to give a statement because of all the detectives present. Who took them to get interviewed? The detectives or were they allowed to drive them selves. The complaint said there were cars in the driveway of the house.

Hang in there Murdoch this case is nothing. Any takers to run for DA? Brandenberg you made a terrible decision and hopefully this will ruin you.

For the life of me, when I first heard the details of this arrest I could not believe the command staff made such a short sighted, irresponsible decision to pursue this investigation, much less seek an arrest warrant. The D.A.'s office should be ashamed of themselves for even considering a felony charge.

Does anybody remember the Duke La Crosse case? It's amateur hour (once again) in Albuquerque.

I am neither here nor there with APD or the Mayor, but this episode is a disgrace. Anyone who signed off on this travesty in APD should be drafting their resignation letters. Don't bother waiting for the eventual dismissal of the charges, just resign now. Yes, I am the proofreader who didn't proof read her own stuff, lol, my bad.
If Darren sneaked into the main, there should be video of it from the security office at city hall. That would be interesting to watch...when I retired they made me give back all keys/id's etc, so who let him in?
Anyone else feel like the dominoes are starting to fall? Anyone else hoping?
I swear I think they should fire everyone from the captains on up, I don't think that the majority of the department is bad, but the top levels definitely are, and sooner or later, it will trickle down into the ranks...if it hasn't already.

Anonymous said...

Didn't sombody say that there were lockers with combos? Hmmmm.... Is this Darren trying to get into that? Get the security video!

Also, I saw a post on Channel 4 news under comments from a person that claims that Murdoch allowed the man that raped her developmentally disabled daughter off on all charges. Don't know the case... only case in recent news is the case of the married male caretaker who was accused because the developmentally disabled female began talking about sexual encounters with her former male caretaker. The prostitute in videoing Murdoch definetely got a sex act on tape and Murdoch did it appears pay the prostitute for sex!

I wish Murdoch the best in finding a mate and moving foward, but I definetely think Murdoch can't be a Judge anymore! I hope Murdoch finds another occupation and finds that even with this fall from grace that life goes on!

I believe there is a bigger game being played here who's main focus is an attack on the judges at the court house, and this ain't the first one. its the perfect scenario, feed a crime to the police, let a rookie sergeant make a name for himself, provide a situation where Barry along with his cronies get the big distraction they need to get the heat off them, take out a judge who is well respected by all, and take over his seat. the question is who would take over for judge murdoch, who benefits the most from this, and who has enough connections to get this ball in motion. its the perfect storm. the other question is will this only be an attck on judge Murdoch's seat, or will other judges also fall??

Re: Ray has nothing to do with this

Really?! He is in the chief. That means he is in charge. You better believe something of this magnitude is passed up the chain of command, if only because everyone wants the higher ups to know how good they are doing. Ray certainly knew, and was almost certainly briefed about it. If you don't think he's culpable for the reeking of the APD Sh*thouse you must be in league with him. The ignorance excuse cannot be used when APD is on A1 of the Journal weekly, if not daily.

Anonymous said...

Didn't Schultz tweet from another district judges courtroom some derogatory comments about judges and the justice system earlier this year?

Seems to me Ray Schultz and APD are out of control.

Maybe they are trying to defame the court because of the large number of judgements against them in civil lawsuits?

Last thing, someone should look into Detective Sandy and Judge Vazquez. If I remember correctly she publicly stated she felt his testimony, in her courtroom, was not truthful. If this is correct, it is just another example of APD going after judges for telling the truth about them.

I hope the Albuquerque taxpayers are ready to pay out some more millions for Ray's lack of leadership.

For the knucklehead that thought that Rebbecca Vigil-Giron set the judge up, you need to learn a bit of law, motive, and the case. The judge threw Gary King off the case for his political motives in the case. Removing Murdoch is a huge setback for Vigil-Giron as the papers said she had a hearing scheduled for August 1 that may throw the whole thing out. She has already filed motions for a speedy trial, so it's obvious she's not trying to get out of a trial. Her case is moved to another judge, nothing goes away because your judge gets in trouble. Wake up to see who had the most to gain from getting a new headline story to take over the news. The ones with motive are the Mayor, White, & Schultz.

Albuquerque Playboy Mansion? Where is that located? There are no playboys in our town since the Maloofs left. Just a bunch of oversexed buffoons, mainly working for the city, county, and state. Also, I don't think there was an investigation; otherwise, the judge would not have been arrested. I happen to know that RS is hated by the majority of the cops, even those kissing his rear end.

My first thought... cover up! Not surprised about contact with a prostitue, but rape?

Investigation sounds weak and sloppy... Arrest is big enough to take our EYE off Levi Chavez, APD "helping" VCSO (I mean tampering and destroying evidence), White, Record Police Shootings, and more. Imagine what we don't know!

This city and state is a cesspool. Remember the Rio Grande Cantina? Pretty sure NMSP conducted an investigation involving judges, cops, lawyers and politicians to wit drugs, prostitution etc. This s@#T is nothing new. Barker got a copy of the investigation, looked like the files on Roswell- all blacked out.

Albuquerque has been sleeping. APD, Judges and Politicans have a long history of corruption,
criminal activity and secret intelligence files on political enemies. Not just an incident here and there but a lengthy history involving many members. APD is a gang of thugs. They have been running an auto theft/insurance fraud scam for decades. Check out the chronolgy at realcrimes.com What a pattern of conduct...more like a common practice! Read "New Mexico Citizens Live in Fear of their Police". This s@#t is noting new!

Regarding good cops that don't speak up...they want to live!

Unfortunately the real issue at hand is the men & women of the department. Schultz backstabs his officer on camera and defends White, Banks hires a family member even though there's no lateral academy going on, Feist makes his SRO's do other than field work! And what's that, SRO's TDY to special duty assignments, 5th floor, range, academy, SID? All favors and backroom deals, let the non-retired officers have mobility. Thise men and women should have those specialized spots. There are plenty of qualified folks on the department that know these jobs. The bosses all bend the rules and play the hook me up game. The City Council needs to push Mayor Berry towards cleaning up the 5th floor.

The undisputed fact of the matter is that Murdock did in fact pay for prostitution. No one, not even he, is disputing that. Political payback, diversion, whatever convoluted spin Murdock supporters point to is beside the basic point. A judge who is sworn to uphold the law has betrayed everyone who has entrusted him to do his job. He broke the law he was paid quite well to uphold. He's just one example of the astounding number of embarrassments that government officials and employees bring on this state. NM is consistently at the bottom end of almost every ranking there is related to other states. Toxic bacteria like Murdock have infected all levels of government and law "enforcement" in this state for countless generations. It's a way of life. No wonder old-school scammers like Bill Richardson infect politics in this state. Shame on every person in this state who is not up in arms and supporting those who expose and eradicate users like Murdock who prey on the population of this ass-backward state.
